Information You Submit
Queries Sent to Search Partners
A name, place, or other query entered into a search tool is transmitted to the third party that provides that tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages Sent to Us
Email or contact-form content is retained as needed to answer the message. It is not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary page requests may produce technical records such as:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent;
- the referring site, when supplied; and
- request timestamps.
Cookies
Cookies can help measure how visitors use the site. Browser settings can reject them, though blocking cookies may change how certain functions behave.
How Information Is Used
- Operate the site and maintain performance.
- Send a search request to the selected provider.
- Understand which pages visitors find useful.
- Diagnose errors and security problems.
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
Links and Advertising
Links lead to the Nelson County roster, sheriff, courts, Kentucky corrections, government portals, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's privacy policy governs.
Advertising providers may measure activity across websites for interest-based advertising. That processing occurs on their systems under their own terms.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may reach:
- search providers that process submitted queries;
- analytics vendors;
- advertising networks; and
- law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Security Measures
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information. No internet-connected service is completely secure, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion if a minor submitted information.
Your Privacy Choices
- Ask what personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Ask that eligible information be erased.
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where applicable.
